NOTES

- Providence got on the board at 4:15 of the first period as Tanner Adams finished off a rebound from a Logan Will shot for his team-high seventh goal of the season. John Mustard forced a turnover and earned an assist on the play.

- The Friars extended the lead to 2-0 with their first shorthanded goal of the season courtesy of Nick Poisson's backhand finish on a breakaway at 13:34.

- Clarkson responded at the end of the power play at 15:45 on a goal from Jared Mangan.

- Ryan Richardson leveled the game for Clarkson at 8:57 of the second period on a wrist shot from the top of the circles.

- The teams combined for just 11 shots in the final 20 minutes as the game went into overtime.

- Austen May fed Trevor Connelly at the top of the offensive zone as he drove towards the net and fired a shot, kicking out right to Gamache who put the rebound into an empty net for the win.

- Svedebäck stopped 23-of-25 shots he faced to improve to 7-2-1 this season.

- Providence went to overtime for the third-consecutive game and an NCAA-high seventh time this season. The Friars are 4-1-2 in the extra session in 2024-25.
