BOSTON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Claire Murdoch - UConn
(So., F; Toronto, Ont.)

Claire Murdoch led Hockey East in goals (5), assists (9), and points (14) in seven games in February. The sophomore forward ended the month on a six-game point streak (5g, 9a) including five multi-point games and seven points (4g, 3a) in her final two games. The Toronto native put 31 shots on net and her plus-even was second-best in the league. She did all this while committing zero penalties.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Ava Thomas - Boston College
(Fr., F; Downingtown, Pa.)

Ava Thomas had more shots on net in February than any other play in the NCAA, putting 76 shots on target. Her nine points were the third-highest total of any first-year player and her two game-wining goals were the most of any rookie in the country. Her six assists were the most of any Hockey East freshman and her nine points were tied for the highest total.

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Olivia Maffeo - Boston College
(So., D; Canton, Mass.)

Olivia Maffeo scored more goals than any other defender in the NCAA in February, lighting the lamp five times in eight games for the Eagles. Her eight points were the most of a Hockey East blueliner and the fifth-highest total of any player at her position in the country. Her 25 shots on net and two power-play goals were also tops among Hockey East defensemen.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Lisa Jonsson - Northeastern
(So., G; Stockholm, Sweden)

Lisa Jonsson led Hockey East in goals against average (1.28) and save percentage (.961) in February, going 4-1-0 across five starts for the Huskies and helping Northeastern claim the Hockey East regular season title. She made at least 30 saves in each of her starts. Her GAA was fourth in the nation and her save percentage was third.
