BOSTON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL PLAYER OF THE MONTH

James Hagens - Boston College

James Hagens was second nationally in goals (8) and points (15) in February, recording at least one point in all nine games. His four power-play goals and 36 shots also were the most in the country while his two game-winning goals were second. He was named the Beanpot MVP after scoring two goals and adding three assists in the tournament, factoring in on both game-winning goals to deliver the Eagles their first title since 2016.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Justin Gill - Merrimack

Justin Gill started February on a hot streak, pouring in four points (1g, 3a) in a 9-5 win at Stonehill. He then extended his goal streak to seven straight and point-streak to 11, both the longest such runs in Hockey East this season, with another three goals and an assist for eight total points in seven games. He tied for the Hockey East rookie lead in points (8) and goals (4).

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Lukas Gustafsson - Boston College
(Sr., D; Atlanta, Ga.)

Lukas Gustafsson had more game-winning goals (2) than any other NCAA defenseman in February. The senior was third among NCAA blueliners and tops in Hockey East with eight points (3g, 5a) in nine games in February. His three goals were also second-most among defensemen in the country and his two power-play strikes were the most of any league defender.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Michael Hrabal - Massachusetts
(Jr., G; Prague, Czechia)

Michael Hrabal led all NCAA goaltenders who played at least 310 minutes in February with a .946 save percentage and was third with a 1.85 goals against average. He stopped a career-high 50 shots on Feb. 28 in a 3-3 tie and had four games with at least 30 saves. The junior posted one shutout, a 21-save perfect game on Feb. 20. His 226 saves were fifth in the NCAA.
