HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Ida Kuoppala - Maine

Kuoppala is tied for the NCAA lead with nine goals, tops among all Hockey East players, and ninth in the country with 13 points. She has posted five multi-point games to start the year, including a three-goal, four- point outing on Oct. 7. She is tied for first with five goals in just four conference games and sits second points (6), points per game (1.50), game-winning goals (1). Her two short-handed goals also rank first in Hockey East and she has not taken a single penalty.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Julia Pellerin - Boston College

Pellerin tied for the lead league in overall scoring with seven points and four assists, while her three goals ranked second among first-year players. She strung together a five-game point streak from Sept. 30 - Oct. 14 (3g, 3a) and has posted two goals and two assists to help Boston College to a 5-0-1 start in league play.

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Rae Breton - New Hampshire

Breton spent the majority of the month atop the national leaderboard in blocks and has a league-high 27. She recorded three points on a goal and two assists and had an even plus-minus rating. She recorded multiple blocks in 7 of 10 games with a career high of nine at Maine on Oct. 13, where she also scored what proved to be the game-win- ning goal when she gave UNH a 3-0 lead. She had established a career-best of five blocked shots the previous game against nationally-ranked Quinnipiac on Oct. 7.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Gwyneth Philips - Northeastern

Philips posted a league-leading seven wins through September and October, along with four shutouts, a 0.82 GAA and .966 save percentage. Her four shut- outs are tied for the national lead. Among goaltenders that have played in six or more games, Philips leads the nation and league with a 0.82 GAA and .966 save percentage. Philips has allowed just nine goals in 11 games, which is best among any league netminder who has appeared in more than two games.
