BOSTON, Mass. - Trevor Connelly scored on the power play with 1:36 remaining in overtime as the No. 11 Providence College men's hockey team rallied for a 6-5 win over Northeastern on Saturday (Nov. 9) at Matthews Arena.

NOTES
- Cam Lund gave Northeastern the lead with a power-play goal 7:42 into the opening period.
- For the second-consecutive game, Trevor Connelly connected with Logan Will on the power-play to tie the game at 1-1. The goal marked Will's fourth of the year and third over the last three games. Austen May also earned an assist on the play.
- Joe Connor regained the lead for the Huskies with 16.9 seconds remaining in the period.
- Dylan Hryckowian extended the Northeastern lead to 3-1 at 3:58 of the second period. Philip Svedebäck entered the game in relief of Borgiel.
- Nick Rheaume was assessed a minor for tripping and a five-minute major plus a game misconduct for contact to the head, giving the Friars a 7:00 power play.
- Power-play strikes by freshmen John Mustard and Will Elger knotted the game at 3-3 during the extended man-advantage.
- Jack Williams gave the Huskies a 4-3 lead at 16:29 of the period with a power-play tally.
- Connelly registered his first NCAA goal at 3:37 of the third period to tie the game at 4-4. Logan Sawyer and Andrew Centrella earned the assists on the play.
- Chase Yoder gave the Friars their first lead of the night with a power-play goal, his first of the season at 8:04 of the third period off feeds from Tanner Adams and Saywer.
- Joakim Lemay's seeing-eye shot from the point leveled the scored at 5-5 with 2:41 remaining.
- Christophe Tellier was whistled for hooking in overtime, sending the Friars to the power play. Connelly went end-to-end into the Northeastern zone and wired a shot over the blocker of Cameron Whitehead for the game-winning goal. Centrella and Svedebäck were credited with the assists.
- Providence's unbeaten streak was extended to eight games (6-0-2).
- The five power-play goals was the most recorded in game by the Friars since registering five against UMass on Nov. 11, 2017.
- Connelly became the first Friar to record a five-point game since Greg Printz on Oct. 5, 2019.
