HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Ava Thomas - Boston College

No player in Hockey East had more points than Ava
Thomas to start the 2025-26 season as the rookie racked
up 14 in nine games. Her 61 shots on net were the most
of any league player, and fourth in the nation, while her
six goals and eight assists were both second-most. Eight
of her first nine NCAA games have come on the road and
were highlighted by a four-point performance in a 4-1 win
over St. A’s. She scored 10 points in the span of three
games from Oct. 4-11, all wins for Boston College.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Violet Carroll - Holy Cross
(Fr., F; Milton, Mass.)
Violet Carroll has helped Holy Cross to the best start in
program history, scoring 10 points across a 7-2-0 run in
September and October. Her 10 points and seven assists
and plus-seven rating and two game-winning goals were
all second-best among HE rookies. She posted at least
one point in seven of her nine outings and strung together a five-game point streak with four goals and seven
assists.

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Aurora Kahlert - New Hampshire
(Fr., D; Maple Ridge, B.C.)
Aurora Kahlert started her college career by leading all
NCAA blueliners with 33 shots on goal, a number that
was good for second among all Hockey East players. Her
plus-nine rating is third best among defenders nationally,
and first in Hockey East, and she is second in the country
in game-winning goals at her position. Her 13 blocks were
second in Hockey East for a defender. She added three
points in nine games while taking no penalties.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Tia Chan - UConn
(Gr., G; Hamilton, Ont.)
Reigning Hockey East Goaltender of the Year Tia Chan
returned to UConn with force, posting a 5-2-1 record, the
ninth-most wins in the country. Her .956 save percentage
is second best in the NCAA among goaltenders with at
least five starts and her 1.48 GAA is 10th nationally and
second in Hockey East. She posted at least 30 saves four
times in eight starts and earned four wins over ranked
teams.
