Box Score | Highlights

BOSTON - The No. 14 Boston University women's ice hockey team improved to 20-9-1, 17-5-1 HE with a 4-1 comeback win over Providence (17-10-3, 13-8-2 HE) on Saturday evening at Walter Brown Arena. The victory helped BU sweep the series against the Friars this season.

BU is the first team in Hockey East to reach 20 wins on the season. The last time the Terriers earned 20 or more wins in a single season was in 2019-20 when they went 24-8-4. It also marks the ninth time in program history BU has hit that mark.

After a scoreless first frame, Providence got on the board and maintained a 1-0 lead headed into the third. BU found its footing in the final 20 minutes to score three unanswered goals, one of which coming shorthanded, before adding another on an empty net to earn the 4-1 win.

Junior Sydney Healey scored twice while junior Maeve Carey and sophomore Alex Law each scored once. Senior Christina Vote, graduate student Lindsay Bochna, Law and freshman Kaileigh Quigg all recorded assists. Carey's goal was not only the game-winner, but also her first as a Terrier.

Sophomore Mari Pietersen made a career best 36 saves in between the posts for the win.
