Sophomore forward Lily Fetch scored a goal for the Black Bears

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team defeated the University of New Hampshire 2-1, on Friday at Alfond Arena. Sophomore Lily Fetch tallied the game-winning goal early in the third period.

The Wildcats struck first just two minutes into the game, but Mira Seregély scored five minutes later for the Black Bears to tie up the score. Elise Morphy earned the lone assist on Seregély's goal

After the second period went scoreless, Maine came out and popped in the eventual game winning goal just over a minute into the final period. Lily Fetch scored her seventh goal of the season, as she continues to lead Maine in goals and points. Danielle Brunette and Courtney Colarullo tallied assists on Fetch's goal.

Goaltender Julia Bachetti made 19 saves on 20 shots against. Bachetti picked up her third win in her eighth start this season.

Maine outshot UNH 26-20.
