BOSTON - Junior Taze Thompson scored twice to lead the Northeastern women's hockey team to a 4-2 victory over the Providence College Friars on Tuesday evening at Matthews Arena.

Thompson, junior Skylar Irving and sophomore Jules Constantinople all recorded multi-point games for the Huskies.

- Thompson got the scoring started with her first goal of the evening at the 7:17 mark of the first period. Thompson's goal was assisted by Irving and Constantinople.

- The Huskies took a 1-0 lead into the first break, but the Friars were able to equalize 41 seconds into the second period.

- Fifth year Katy Knoll put NU back ahead, 2-1, a minute and 19 seconds later. Knoll's goal was assisted by Irving and senior Abbey Marohn.

- Freshman Allie Lalonde closed out the second period scoring with the eventual game-winner at the 14:39 mark to make the score 3-1. Lalonde's power-play tally was her sixth goal of the season and came with helpers from junior Tory Mariano and Irving.

- Thompson's second goal of the night, assisted by Constantinople and sophomore Mia Langlois, came just under four minutes into the final frame. Providence brought the final score to 4-2 with a goal at the 18:39 mark.

- Fifth year netminder Gwyneth Philips made 26 saves in her 10th win of the season. The Huskies outshot the Friars, 32-28.

Northeastern will close out its' 2023 slate at Boston University on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. in Walter Brown Arena.
