Skills Competition Format at Hockey East Men’s Championship Announced

AMESBURY, Mass. – The Hockey East Association and Pro Ambitions released details about the previously announced skills competition taking place on TD Garden ice during the Hockey East Men’s Championship weekend.

“Hockey East is excited about showcasing youth hockey on the region’s biggest stage,” said Hockey East Commissioner Steve Metcalf. “We look forward to crowning a champion on March 21.”

Throughout the 2025-26 season, Pro Ambitions has hosted preliminary round competitions at campus rinks of Hockey East institutions. The semifinals of the year-long competition are set to take place on TD Garden ice on the same day as the Hockey East Men’s Championship, as well as a Pro Ambitions Battle Camp. This session will follow the format below:

HOUR 1: PRO AMBITIONS x HOCKEY EAST SKILLS COMPETITION SEMIFINAL

• Hardest Shot
• Fastest Skater
• Shot Accuracy Challenge

HOUR 2: PRO AMBITIONS SIGNATURE BATTLE CAMP CURRICULUM

• This hour focuses on developing essential hockey skills through engaging and challenging drills, led by top notch coaches.

Three participants will advance from the semifinal session to the final round of the skills competition, a shootout on TD Garden Ice during intermission at the Hockey East Men’s Championship.
