Stella Retrum - Vermont
(Jr., F; Maple Grove, Minn.)
Stella Retrum scored more game-winning goals (3) in
January than any other player in Hockey East and was
second in the nation with her trio of decisive tallies. Her
five goals and 10 points helped Vermont to a 6-0-2 start
to the month and she finished on a five-game point streak
with four goals and three assists in that span. Her five
goals and 10 points were both the third-best total in Hockey East.

PRO AMBITIONS CO-ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Ava Thomas - Boston College
(Fr., F; Downingtown, Pa.)
Ava Thomas paced Hockey East in
assists (8), points (13), and shots
(74), in eight games in January.
Her month was highlighted by a six-point (2g, 4a) in an 8-2 win on Jan.
16. She currently leads Hockey
East in overall (39) and league (27)
points.
PRO AMBITIONS CO-ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Stryker Zablocki - Northeastern
(Fr., F; Price Albert, Sask.)
Stryker Zablocki’s seven assists
and 12 points were second among
all Hockey East skaters in January,
helping Northeastern to a 6-2-1 mark and a current six-game
unbeaten run. Her output included
a hat trick and four point game on
Jan. 9. No league player had more
power-play goals than her two.
ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Cristina Cavaliere - Providence
(Sr., D; Mississauga, Ont.)
Cristina Cavaliere was first among all league defenders
with seven assists and second in points through nine
games in January. She was second with 24 blocked shots
and added 15 shots on net of her own. She capped the
month with points in six of her final seven games, including three in a weekend sweep at Vermont to end the
month.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Brooke Loranger - Holy Cross
(Jr., G; Goodwood, Ont.)
Brooke Loranger started four of Holy Cross’s seven
games in January, posting an unblemished 3-0-1 mark
and backboning the Crusaders to the first national ranking
in program history. She never allowed more than two
goals in any of her four starts, leading Hockey East with
a 1.47 goals against average and .951 save percentage,
which was also good for fifth in the nation.
