HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
Holy Cross swept Merrimack to get its first two wins in league play and move to 9-4-0 on the year. Amanda Aslan paced all Hockey East players with four points (2g, 2a) including a two-goal game in Friday’s 2-1 win and two primary helpers in Saturday’s 2-1 triumph.
Northeastern earned a weekend sweep over Vermont to improve to 5-0-0 in Hockey East games and become the lone undefeated program in the league standings. Lisa Jönsson earned both wins to improved her overall record to 7-1-0.
Boston College freshman Ava Thomas, named Hockey East Player of the Month last week, notched a point in each game of a split with No. 8 UConn. She leads her team with seven goals and 16 points in 12 games. Eagles’ forward Emma Conner blocked six shots across a split weekend with the Huskies and currently leads all of Hockey East with 32 blocks in 12 games.
New Hampshire rookie Nina Rossi exploded for a four-point weekend, including a three-assist game in a 4-2 win over Providence Sedona Blair made 22 of 24 shots she faced for her third win of the season. On Saturday, Friar freshman Molly Farace earned the first two points of her career with two assists in a 5-1 win over UNH.
Boston University and Maine split a series in Orono. On Friday, the
Black Bears’ Ava Stevenson found the back of the net twice in the
third period, including the game-winning goal, in a 3-1 win. The next
day in a game on NESN, Sydney Healey netted the game-winning
goal in a 2-1 victory to deliver BU their second league win of the year
after setting up the Terriers’ first goal of the game.
HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Amanda Aslan - Holy Cross
Amanda Aslan (So., F; St. Johns, Fla.) led Hockey East in scoring
with four points on two goals and two assists in a weekend sweep of
Merrimack. She scored both of Holy Cross’ goals in Friday’s 2-1 road
win at, including the game-winner with 6:05 left in the third period.
She then had the primary assist on both of the Crusaders’ goals in
Saturday’s 2-1 home victory over the Warriors.
PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Nina Rossi - New Hampshire
Nina Rossi (Fr., F; Pittsgrove, N.J.) logged a career-high three
assists in her second-career three point game in Friday’s 4-2 victory over Providence, including starting the play that lead to the
game-winning goal. She then dished out the lone assist for UNH on
Saturday in a 5-1 setback. Following Rossi’s four-point weekend,
she is on a point per game pace and is tied for fourth-most points in
Hockey East.
ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Jules Constantinople - Northeastern
Jules Constantinople (Sr., D; East Haven, Conn.) posted a three-
point weekend to lead Northeastern to a sweep over Vermont. Constantinople had an assist on the game-winning goal and anchored
a defense that posted its second shutout of the season on Friday.
On Saturday, Constantinople posted the game-winning goal and
tacked on an assist for a multi-point outing. Constantinople now has
four power-play goals on the season which is tied to lead all NCAA
players.

Boston College
Abby Hornung - Holy Cross
Grace Campbell, BC (Sr., G; Kensington, Md.) Posted a 1.99 goals against average and .938 save percentage in 1-1-0 weekend against No. 8 UConn. She stopped 60 of 64 shots she faced, including 47 in Saturday’s 2-1 road victory. She also helped anchor a BC defense that went a perfect 10-for-10 on the penalty kill.
Abby Hornung (Sr., G; Ashland,
Mass.) went 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals
against average and a .956 save
percentage in a sweep of Merrimack.
She played all 120 minutes during
the Crusaders’ sweep of the Warriors,
allowing just two goals while making
43 saves in a pair of 2-1 victories for
the Crusaders.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Ava Thomas, BC (Fr., F; Downington, Pa.) Named Hockey East Player of the Month last week, Thomas notched a point in each game of a split with No. 8 UConn. She assisted on the lone BC goal in Friday’s 3-1 setback before potting the game-winning goal with just three seconds left in Saturday’s 2-1 victory on the road. She leads her team with seven goals and 16 points in 12 games.
Maxim Tremblay, BC (Fr., F; Sherbrooke, Que.) Scored the only Eagles’ goal in BC’s 3-1 loss on Friday to No. 8 UConn and tallied an assist in Saturday’s 2-1 road victory over the Huskies.
Olivia Maffeo, BC (So., D; Canton, Mass.) Netted her first goal of the season in Saturday’s 2–1 road win at No. 8 UConn while block- ing four shots to help anchor a penalty kill that went 10-for-10 across a weekend series.
Emma Conner, BC (Gr., F; Edina, Minn.) Blocked six shots across a split weekend with No. 8 UConn and currently leads all of Hock- ey East with 32 blocks in 12 games.
Sydney Healey, BU (Sr., F; Arthur, Ont.) In a weekend split at Maine, had two points on one goal and one assist. She netted the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 2-1 victory to deliver BU their second league win of the year after setting up the Terriers’ first goal of the game. She currently leads BU with 10 points on five goals and five assists.
Avery Supryka, BU (Fr., D; Ottawa, Ont.) Recorded her first collegiate point on Friday with an assist on a shorthanded goal at Maine and blocked four shots in a weekend split. She is currently plus-four on the season to lead BU.
Michelle Pasiechnyk, BU (Gr., G; Ottawa, Ont.) Went 1-1-0 in a split weekend at Maine, making 32 saves on Friday and 27 saves on Saturday in a 2-1 win. She did not give up an even-strength goal in Saturday’s victory. She sits sixth in Hockey East overall goaltenders in save percentage with a .918 mark.
Ava Stevenson, Maine (Sr., F; Grosse Pointe, Mich.) Found the back of the net twice in the third period, including the game-winning goal, in Friday’s 3-1 win over Boston University.
Isabelle Michaud, Maine (Fr., F; Drummond, N.B.) Picked up two points in Friday’s 3-1 home win over Boston University, scoring the game’s opening goal and assisting on a late insurance tally. She had six shots on net in a weekend split with the Terriers. Lulu Rucinski, Maine (Fr., D; Orono, Minn.) Added two points, including a goal and an assist, in a weekend split with BU. She also blocked four shots.
Kiia Lahtinen, Maine (So., G; Porvoo, Finland) Kicked out 40 saves on 43 shots she faced in a weekend split with Boston University, earning her first career win over the Terriers on Friday, 3-1.
Callista Printz, UNH (So., D; Buffalo, N.Y.) Helped anchor a defense for New Hampshire in a split series with Providence, engineering a team-high plus-two rating over the weekend to accompany a blocked shot on Saturday.
Sedona Blair, UNH (Jr., G; Eden Prairie, Minn.) Stood tall in the Wildcats’ 4-2 win over the Friars on Friday, denying 22 of 24 shots she faced for a .917 save percentage and her third win of the season.
Lily Shannon, NU (Sr., F; Andover, Mass.) Posted three points to lead Northeastern to two victories over Vermont. She factoed into all three goals in Saturday’s 3-2 victory with a goal and two assists. Shannon is now tied to lead all Hockey East players with 16 points.
Stryker Zablocki, NU (Fr., F; Prince Albert, Sask.) Scored goals in back-to-back games to guide Northeastern to a weekend sweep over Vermont. Zablocki posted her first career game-winning goal with a power-play strike on Friday, she then had the game tying-goal on Saturday to spark the Huskies’ come-from-behind victory.
Lisa Jonsson, NU (So., G; Stockholm, Sweden) Went 2-0-0 against Vermont and improved her overall record to 7-1-0 this weekend. Jönsson posted a 20-save shutout against the Catamounts Friday and then posted 19 saves in game two, a 3-2 win. She posted a .951 save percentage and 1.00 GAA over the two victories.
Jessie Pellerin, PC (So., F; Bowmanville, Ont.) Scored two goals and added an assist in a weekend split with New Hampshire.
Molly Farace, PC (Fr., F; Otonabe, Ont.) Earned the first two points of her career with two assists in Saturday’s 5-1 win over UNH.
Bella Paolucci, PC (Fr., D; Gross Pointe Woods, Mich.) Had one goal and one assist to go along with four blocks in a split with UNH.
Hope Walinski, PC (Gr., G; Lincoln, R.I.) Made 45 saves in a weekend split against UNH.
Mya Lawrence, UVM (So., F; Okotoks, Alta.) Scored her first career goal on Saturday at No. 9 Northeastern.
