HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
UNH swept Assumption to move to 2-2-0 on the year, outscoring the Greyhounds 8-1. Noemi Martinez pitched a 21-save shutout in Saturday’s 3-0 victory, while rookie forward Nina Rossi scored the first two goals of her career and added a primary assist in the series.
UConn earned a weekend split a No. 9 Clarkson, earning its second win over a ranked opponent in as many weeks. Tia Chan stood tall in net again for the Huskies, making 64 saves in the split, including a season-high 37 in Saturday’s 3-2 win.
Northeastern swept RIT to open their regular season, the final in Historic Matthews Arena. Freshman defender Ella Lloyd scored a goal and added an assist in her debut, while junior blueliner Rylie Jones netted her first collegiate goal, the game-winning strike, in Saturday’s come-from-behind victory.
Merrimack pushed Union to a 2-2 tie on Saturday, handing the Garnet Chargers their first non-win of the year. Senior forward Kathryn Karo and junior forward Emma Pfeffer each scored a goal in the stalemate.
Holy Cross traveled to Delaware, the first match up against the
Blue Hens in Hockey East history. The Crusaders earned a
weekend split, taking a 5-2 victory on Saturday.

Nina Rossi - New Hampshire
Nina Rossi (Fr., F; Pittsgrove, N.J.) helped the New Hampshire
Wildcats to a 5-1 win over Assumption on Friday. She scored a pair
of goals, the first two of her collegiate career, and added a primary
assist and a blocked shot.
PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Ella Lloyd - Northeastern
Ella Lloyd (Fr., D; Ardossan, Alta.) had two points on a goal and an
assist in her collegiate debut, helping Northeastern sweep RIT. She
is the lone rookie blueliner in Hockey East with multiple points in the
early going of the 2025-26 season.

Rylie Jones (Jr., D; North Chelmsford, Mass.) netted her first collegiate goal, which proved to be the game-winning strike, in Northeastern’s come-from-behind victory over RIT on Saturday, 3-1. She
wrapped the weekend sweep with a plus-one rating and had one
block.

Tia Chan - UConn
Tia Chan (Gr., G; Hamilton, Ont.) made a season-high 37 saves in a
3-2 win at No. 9 Clarkson on Saturday, 19 of which game in the third
period while protecting a one-goal lead. She made 64 total saves
across a 1-1-0 weekend at Clarkson.

Sydney Healey, BU (Sr., F; Arthur, Ont.) Picked up two points (1g, 1a) against No. 3 Minnesota in Saturday’s 5-2 set-back.
Anežka Cabelová, BU (Fr., F; Ceský Krumlov, Czechia) Netted her first career goal on Saturday, coming against No. 3 Minnesota, and finished plus-two in a 5-2 setback. She blocked a total of three shots across two games and won 12 faceoffs.
Brooke Campbell, UConn (Sr., F; Essex, Ont.) Buried the game-winning goal in UConn’s 3-2 road win over No. 9 Clarkson on Saturday. She also set up the Huskies’ first goal, marking her first multi-point game of the year.
Charlotte Sonntag, HC (Sr., F; Sun Valley, Idaho) Potted a team-high two goals last week as Holy Cross improved to 3-1-0 on the season.
Naemi Herzig, HC (Fr., F; St. Gallen, Switzerland) Dished out two assists, including the primary helper on Saturday’s game-winning goal at Delaware.
Kiia Lahtinen, Maine (So., G; Porvoo, Finland) On the road at No. 1 Wisconsin, stopped 95 of 105 shots faced, making 46 and 49 saves.
Emma Pfeffer, MC (Jr., F; Vienna, Austria) In a 0-1-1 weekend against Union, dished out an assist on Friday and scored the tying goal in Saturday’s stalemate.
Stina Sandberg, MC (Fr., F; Örebro, Sweden) Dished out an assist on Saturday on what proved to be the game-tying goal on the power play.
Hailey Eikos, MC (Jr., D; Brooklyn Park, Minn.) Potted a power-play goal against Union on Friday and now has four points (1g, 3a) in her first four games with Merrimack.
Adreanna Doucette, MC (So., G; Milbury, Mass.) Made 28 saves on 30 shots in a 2-2 tie against Union on Satuday and then stopped two saves in the shootout to earn bragging rights for the Warriors.
Morgan Jackson, NU (So., F; Courtenay, B.C.) Paced all Huskies with three points in a weekend sweep of RIT. She netted one goal and added an assist in game one and added another tally in game two. She currently is tied at the top of Hockey East with two goals.
Lisa Jönsson, NU (So., G; Stockholm, Sweden) Posted back-to-back wins to begin the 2025-26 campaign, stopping 26 shots and allowing just three goals in a sweep of RIT.
Aurora Kahlert, UNH (Fr., D; Maple Ridge, B.C.) Netted her first NCAA goal on Saturday, the game-winning strike, in a 3-0 win over Assumption. She added a plus-two rating and one blocked shot.
Noemi Martinez, UNH (Jr., G; Glen Ridge, N.J.) Backboned the Wildcats to a 3-0 road victory at Assumption on Saturday, stopping all 21 shots she faced to earn her second career shutout and the first win of her season.
Reichen Kirchmair, PC (Sr., F; Oakville, Ont.) Scored a goal and added an assist in two games against No. 8 Quinnipiac.
Makena Lloyd-Howe, UVM (Fr., F; Tumbler Ridge, B.C.) Earned her first career goal on Saturday against No. 6 Penn State. She tied for the team high with two shots on net and blocked two shots.
Josie Hemp, UVM (So., D; Chanhassen, Minn.) Found the back of the net for the first time this season on Saturday against No. 6 Penn State, converting on the power play, She added one blocked shot.
