HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
No. 14 UConn and No. 11 Boston College split a weekend series in league play with the home team taking victory in each contest. On Friday, two goals from rookie Lauren Glaser and a shorthanded strike from Julia Pellerin lifted the Eagles. The next day in Storrs, Kyla Josifovic had the primary helper on both UConn goals in a 2-1 win while Tia Chan stopped 19 of 21 shots.
Providence skated to a 1-0-1 weekend against Harvard, with heroics coming from Reichen Kirchmair, who scored two goals, including the overtime winner, in a 3-2 win on Saturday after she netted the shootout winner in a 2-2 draw with the Crimson on Friday.
New Hampshire skated to a 1-0 win over Vermont on Friday with rookie defender Callista Printz scoring her first career goal, proving to be the decisive tally. Sedona Blair extended her shutout streak to 120:21 with a 21-save outing.
Merrimack’s Abby Poitras netted her first two career goals in a 3-2 setback at RPI on Friday.
Vermont has allowed just nine goals in their last seven games
and three goals in their last four but have gone 1-4-2 in that
stretch. Goaltender Jane Gervais has stopped 117 of 123
shots in her last five starts.

Reichen Kirchmair - Providence
Reichen Kirchmair (Jr., F; Oakville, Ont.) netted two goals,
including the overtime winner, in a 3-2 win over Harvard on
Saturday. The day prior, she netted the shootout winner after a
2-2 draw with the Crimson.

Lauren Glaser - Boston College
Lauren Glaser (Fr., F; Malborough, Mass.) scored the
game-winning goal over No. 14 UConn as part of a two-score
night on Friday to give the Eagles their fourth win over a
ranked opponent.
HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Callista Printz - New Hampshire
Callista Printz (Fr., D; Buffalo, N.Y.) scored her first career
goal, a power-play tally broke a scoreless tie at 4:46 of the
third period to lift UNH to a 1-0 victory at Vermont on Friday.
Printz was also credited with two blocks as UNH limited UVM
to 21 shots.
STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Sedona Blair - New Hampshire
Sedona Blair (So., G; Eden Prairie, Minn.) extended her shutout streak to 120:21 and stopped all 21 shots to backstop UNH
to a 1-0 victory at Vermont on Friday. It marked her second
consecutive shutout, fourth of the season and ninth of her career. Blair made three saves in the final 15:14 of the game after
UNH took a 1-0 lead at 4:46 of the third period to preserve the
Wildcats’ one-goal lead for the win.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Julia Pellerin, BC (So., F; Windham, N.H.) Scored the shorthanded, game-tying goal on Friday against UConn in an eventual 3-2 win.
Keri Clougherty, BC (Sr., D; Lynn, Mass.) Netted the lone BC goal against UConn on Saturday. It was the fourth goal of her career and second of the season.
Kyla Josifovic, UConn (Jr., F; Burlington, Ont.) Had the primary assist on both of the Huskies’ goals in a 2-1 win over No. 11 Boston College. Josifovic had two shots in the weekend series.
Claire Murdoch, UConn (Fr., F; Toronto, Ont.) Scored her team leading sixth goal of the season on Friday, recording two shots. In Saturday’s win against the Eagles, Murdoch tallied three shots.
Tia Chan, UConn (Sr., G; Hamilton, Ont.) Made 19 saves in the Huskies’ 2-1 win over No. 11 Boston College on Saturday.
Alyssa Wruble, Maine (Sr., F; Bethlehem, Pa.) Had two points in Maine’s 3-1 win on Sunday. Assisted both the first goal (PP) and the game-winning goal.
Kiia Lahtinen, Maine (Fr., G; Porvoo, Finland) Backstopped Maine’s 3-1 win over Vermont with 22 saves on 23 shots faced.
Abby Poitras, MC (Fr., D; Whitby, Ont.) Scored the first two goals of her NCAA career in a 3-2 setback to RPI on Friday.
