Providence improved to a 3-0-1 record with a home-and-home sweep of #7 Boston College. Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) stopped 66 of the 70 shots she faced to earn her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week accolade. Friars sophomore defenseman Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine) led the league with three points on two goals and one assist. The sophomore defenseman scored once and added a helper on the game-winning goal in Friday’s 3-2 road win over the Eagles before she netted the decisive tally in Saturday’s 3-2 contest at home.

Boston College freshman forward Gaby Roy (Marshfield, Mass.) had two assists on the weekend to extend her point streak to four games (4g, 3a) and added three shots on goal. She was named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week after picking up Player of the Week honors a week ago.

Savannah Norcross, BC (Jr., F; Lynn, Mass.) Potted two goals to extend her point streak to four games (3g, 3a) to open the season and finished the weekend with seven shots on goal.

Hadley Hartmetz, BC (So., D; Phoenixville, Pa.) Scored one goal and added one assist on the weekend. She had six shots on goal and four blocked shots in total.
