Aerin Frankel - Northeastern

Among qualifying netminders, Aerin Frankel led the nation
with a 0.80 goals against average and three shutouts
during the month of October. The sophomore netminder
stopped 122 of 126 shots for a .968 save percentage, good
for the second-best mark in the country. Frankel posted
a 4-1-0 record overall and allowed only four total goals in
five starts during the month. She was also twice named
Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts
and has allowed just one goal in league play on 98 shots
while picking up three shutouts in five starts.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Alina Müller - Northeastern
Forward; Winterthur, Switzerland
Alina Müller led the nation in rookie scoring during the
month of October with 11 points (4g, 7a) in nine games
played. Müller's seven assists, four power-play points,
and plus-nine rating were tied for the most among all
NCAA first-year skaters. Her 98 faceoff wins during the
month were also the most among all NCAA rookies. Müller
finished the month on an eight-game point-streak, during
which she racked up nine points (4g, 5a) against league
opponents, the most among all WHEA rookies.

HOCKEY EAST GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Samantha Ridgewell - Merrimack
Senior; Outlook, Saskatchewan
Ridgewell has started every game for the Warriors in 2018,
posting two shutouts through her 548:14 minutes in net and
backboning Merrimack to a a 6-1-2 record in the month
of October. The senior netminder has posted two 35+
save games against Hockey East opponents, including a
41-save effort in a 2-1 win at UConn. She has allowed just
10 goals allowed this season, and held opponents to one
goal or fewer in seven of her nine games. Ridgewell holds
a 1.09 goals against average and a .961 save percentage,
making 247 saves.
