DURHAM, N.H.- Freshman Éloïse Caron scored the game-winning goal with under five minutes remaining in the game to deliver the Northeastern women's hockey team a 2-0 victory over New Hampshire on Wednesday night at the Whittemore Center.
- A scoreless first 40 minutes gave way to third period with both sides knotted at 0-0. Northeastern held a 17-13 edge in shots on goal headed into the final frame.
- At the 15:58 mark of the third period, Caron finally broke the scoreless deadlock to put the Huskies up 1-0. Caron finished off a pass from classmate Morgan Jackson and junior Lily Shannon.
- Graduate student Jaden Bogden brought the final score to 2-0 with an empty net goal at the 19:06 mark. Bogden's goal was assisted by Caron and freshman Tuva Kandell.
- Caron finished with a multi-point game for the Huskies.
- Freshman Lisa Jönsson posted her fourth career shutout with 17 saves on the evening.
Northeastern opens 2025 against Merrimack on Friday, Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
