CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The second-ranked Boston College men's hockey team scored seven goals over the first two periods, including five in the first, on Saturday night to claim a 7-3 victory over USNTDP in an exhibition at Kelley Rink.
The BC offense exploded for five goals in the opening 20 minutes as Teddy Stiga (Sudbury, Mass.), Gentry Shamburger (Atlanta, Ga.), Will Skahan (Woodbury, Minn.), Dean Letourneau (Arnprior, Ontario) and Gabe Perreault (Hinsdale, Ill.) each lit the lamp, with Letourneau's being a short-handed goal.
The Eagles wasted little time to grab their first goal of the second period as James Hagens (Hauppauge, N.Y.) smashed home a shot to make it 6-1. Mike Posma (Pomona, N.Y.) became the seventh different goal scorer of the night for BC when he tipped in a pass from Brady Berard (East Greenwich, R.I.).
Stiga scored his second goal of the night in the third period with Oskar Jellvik (Täby, Sweden) and Lukas Gustafsson (Atlanta, Ga.).
Jan Korec (Bratislava, Slovakia) made 24 saves in net for Boston College.
