MANKATO, Minn. - The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team couldn't complete the double as they dropped the second game against the Minnesota State Mavericks by a score of 4-1 on Saturday night.
Merrimack (1-2-0, 0-0-0): 1, Minnesota State (2-2-0): 4
The Mavericks opened the scoring at the under seven minute mark, but the Warriors would find the equalizer as Antonio Venuto blocked the shot, got the turnover and drove to the net finishing his own rebound in an excellent individual effort to tie the game at one all. In the second, Minnesota State would score the only goal of the period, and they would do the same in the third to close proceedings for the evening.
