MANKATO, Minn. - The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team scored the lone goal of the evening to take their first win of the season against the #19/19 Minnesota State Mavericks on Friday night

After a scoreless first period, The Warriors would break through first, as Tyler Young took the pass from Zach Bookman off of a turnover and Young would snap it by the goaltender for his first goal in his college career.

In the second, Max Lundgren was the story as he made 12 saves in the period including keeping the Mavericks off the board on a late powerplay.

In the third period, Max Lundgren continued to stand tall, stopping the remaining eight Minnesota State shots to seal the win.
