ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team was shut out by the No. 10-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats in game two of the weekend series by a score of 0-4 on Saturday.

#10 Quinnipiac put up one goal in the first period to gain early momentum. The second period came with a second goal from the #10 Bobcats to widen the lead. Maine had 14 shots on goal in the second, earning many scoring chances, but struggled to get the puck past goaltender Kaley Doyle. The #10 Bobcats sealed the deal, scoring twice more in the final frame, one goal coming from a power play opportunity.

Julia Bachetti made 35 saves for the Black Bears, as the team was outshot 39 to 24.
