DURHAM, N.H. - The Merrimack Warriors Women's hockey team tied the game in the third and notched the win in overtime against the University of New Hampshire Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Basics
Merrimack (10-17-3, 7-13-3): 2, New Hampshire (13-15-2, 10-11-2): 1
After a low event first period, New Hampshire would score late in the second and would carry that slim lead into the third, Calli Hogarth made nine saves in the frame.
In the third period, it would once again by Maria Lindberg as she found the net for the fourth time in three games to tie the score at one and the game would stay that way entering overtime.
In the overtime period Ally Qualley took the long pass from Natalie Nemes and shot it bar down to hand the Warriors the overtime victory.
