ORONO, Maine - Behind a hat trick from Bradly Nadeau, the #11 University of Maine men's hockey team picked up 7-3 win over UConn on Sunday night at Alfond Arena. Bradly Nadeau added an assist to finish with four points while Brandon Chabrier had four points on one goal and three assists and Josh Nadeau had three assists.
The Huskies took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission and then the teams combined for five goals in the second period. Lynden Breen put Maine on the board just 67 seconds into the middle period and then Nolan Renwick found the back of the net two minutes later. UConn would make it a 2-2 game again but Brandon Holt's first of the year and a Bradly Nadeau short-handed strike gave Maine a lead it would not relinquish.
UConn opened the scoring a minute into the final period but two Bradly Nadeau goals in less than five minutes and Brandon Chabrier's third of the season gave the Black Bears the 7-3 win.
