ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team dominated Holy Cross by a score of 6 to 0 on Saturday.
Julia Bachetti picked up her second-career shutout making 29 saves for her and Maine's fourth-straight win.
Six different Black Bears tallied goals in the victory with Ida Kuoppala scoring just 33 seconds into the game. Linemates Ava Stevenson and Ann-Frederique Guay picked up the assists on the early game-winning goal.
Raegan Wurm scored her first collegiate goal in the second period on a pass from linemates Lily Fetch and Mikayla Boarder. Jamie Grinder tallied her first goal as a Black Bear on the power play at the end of the second period. Lily Fetch picked up a second assist, with Sophia Johnson earning the secondary assist.
The third period came with goals from Rahel Enzler, Ann-Frederique Guay and Haley Ryan. Ida Kuoppala earned two assists, with Jamie Grinder, Ashley Kokavec and Abby Latorella earning one apiece as well.
The Black Bears went 1-for-3 on power play opportunities and killed off eight minutes of penalties successfully.
