BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team beat Stonehill by a score of 7-1 Saturday, in Bridgewater, Mass.
Goal 1: Just 3:38 into the game, Ann-Frédérique Guay slid the puck past Stonehill's goalie. Ashley Kokavec and Rahel Enzler picked up an assist apiece.
Goal 2: Mikayla Boarder dished the puck across the slot to Haley Ryan, for her first career goal with 2:45 left in the first period.
Goal 3: Rahel Enzler found Ida Kuoppala in the slot to put home a third goal for the Black Bears at the end of the first period.
Goal 4: Stonehill scored a power-play goal in the first minute of the third period.
Goal 5: Maine responds quickly with Rahel Enzler popping in a fourth goal, with fifth year Ida Kuoppala earning the assist.
Goal 6: Kuoppala scores her third goal of the game!
Goal 7: Kuoppala wasn't done! She scores her fourth of the game.
Goal 8: Ann-Frédérique Guay finishes for her second of the game with assists from Alyssa Wruble and Rahel Enzler for a final score of 7-1.
Julia Bachetti made 14 saves for the Black Bears.
