BOSTON, Mass. - Behind four-point outings from graduate students Alina Mueller and Maureen Murphy, the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team downed the Boston University Terriers, 5-1 on Friday night at Walter Brown Arena.

Murphy recorded her 200th career point on an assist on Mueller's first goal of the game. Additionally, Mueller potted her second career hat trick during the game.

- Mueller got the scoring started in the first period with a power-play tally at the 16:20 mark. Her linemates Murphy and Aurard each picked up their first assists of the game on the goal.

- In the second frame, the Huskies erupted for three goals, while also conceding one to the Terriers to a take a 4-1 lead into the final frame. Mueller put the Huskies up 2-0 at the 4:53 mark with assists from Murphy and Aurard, BU then cut the deficit to 2-1 with a power-play tally of its own.

- Murphy then potted a power-play goal of her own to increase the Husky lead back to two with assists from senior Katy Knoll and Mueller. Before the end of the third frame, Mueller got her second career hat trick to bring the NU lead to 4-1. Her third tally was assisted again by Aurard and Murphy.

- In the third stanza as time was winding down, senior Kate Holmes claimed her first goal of the season to bring the final score to 5-1. Juniors Abbey Marohn and Molly Griffin had assists.

- Senior netminder Gwyneth Philips posted her NCAA-leading 29th win of the season, making 17 saves against the Terriers.

Northeastern will close out the regular season with Senior Day against the Terriers on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
