PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Hannah Bilka registered four assists while Abby Newhook scored two goals as the #15 Boston College women's hockey team picked up a 5-2 win over #13 Providence College on Friday afternoon at Schneider Arena.

The Eagles took a 3-0 lead after first period thanks to goals from Gaby Roy, Katie Pyne and Alexie Guay. Providence pulled a goal back in the middle frame but the Eagles responded with two in the early goings of the third before the Friars potted an extra-attacker goal late for the 5-2 final.

Abigail Levy finished with 35 saves and Pyne had a goal and two assists.

GAME NOTES

- Providence College had the 37-24 lead in shots on goal.

- Both teams went 1-for-3 on the power play.

- BC now holds a record of 43-41-3 in the all-time series with Providence since elevating to Division I status for the 1995-96 season ... the Eagles are now 18-21-1 against the Friars at Schneider Arena ... head coach Katie Crowley is now 36-11-3 in her career against Providence.

- Hannah Bilka registered a career-high four assists for her fourth career four-point game ... she now has a career-high 39 points on the year.

- With her first assist of the game, Bilka set a new career-high at 24 ... she now has 27 on the year, making her the first BC player to hit that mark since the 2018-19 season (Makenna Newkirk - 28).

- Bilka is now the 18th player in program history to reach 125 career points (49-76-125).

- Abby Newhook scored two goals for her fifth career multi-goal game ... she now has a career-high 18 goals on the year.

- Katie Pyne registered one goal and two assists for a career-high three points.

- Alexie Guay scored her sixth goal of the season and 20th of her career ... she is just the seventh defender in program history to reach 20 career goals.

- Gaby Roy scored her ninth goal of the season.

- With her assist, Kelly Browne moved into eighth all-time in program history with 87 career assists.
