GAME FLOW & NOTES

-Both teams skated through the first period scoreless.

-The Friars struck first 10:51 into the second period when Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) netted a goal assisted by Noemi Neubauerova (Prague, Czech Republic) and Lily Martinson (Allen, Texas).

-The Friars carried a 1-0 lead into the second intermission.

-Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) scored the Friars' second goal of the day 1:04 into the third period. Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) was credited with the assist.

-The Crusaders got on board at the 6:44 mark of the third period when Bryn Saarela scored, 2-1, with help from Millie Sirum.

-With 18 seconds left to play, Hjalmarsson scored on an empty net to seal the Friars' win, 3-1. It marked Hjalmarsson's fourth multi-goal game of the season and leads the team with 22 goals overall on the year.

-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the night with 18 saves.
