HOW IT HAPPENED:

- At 2:16 of the first period, a Stevenson breakaway resulted in a penalty shot due to slashing. His attempt was successful which gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

- With just 1:48 remaining in the first period, sophomore defenseman Colton Huard (Foothill Ranch, Calif.) shot the puck into a crowded area around the goal. Black handled the rebound and tipped it to Stevenson who rocketed it into the top right corner of the net to put the Wildcats up 2-0.

- UConn responded with a goal of its own as Justin Pearson found Hudson Schandor right in front of the UNH net to thin the score to 2-1 at 6:05 of the second period.

- With the Wildcats still leading 2-1 late in the third, Fessenden made an incredible full extension pad save to prevent the Huskies from evening up the score at two.

- Following a Wildcat penalty kill, sophomore defenseman Alex Gagne (Bedford, N.H.) cleared the puck toward the UConn side of the ice, then the puck was picked up by Black who scored an acrobatic empty-net goal at 18:48. Senior forward Harrison Blaisdell (Regina, Saskatchewan) also posted an assist.

- Then in the final seconds, Devlin stole the puck and skated the rest of the way to score the final goal with just one second remaining in the game for the 4-1 win.
