Lane Hutson (Fr., D; North Barrington, Ill.) was named MVP of the Hockey East Tournament after scoring twice in the championship game, including the overtime dagger 1:57 into the extra frame. He is the first freshman to win Tournament MVP since Jack Eichel in 2014-15. Hutson now has 47 points (14g, 33a) in 36 games played, tying Brian Leetch’s record (1986-87) for most points by a freshman defenseman in Hockey East history.
