HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Jack Musa - Massachusetts
(Jr., F; Orange Park, Fla.)
Jack Musa paced all Hockey East players with 12 points in eight
games to pace UMass to a 6-2-0 record in October. His six goals,
six assists, two power-play goals, and one game-winning goal
were all second-most in Hockey East. He started October on a
seven-game point streak, scoring all 12 of his points in that span.
He blocked seven shots and posted a 26.1% shooting percentage while winning 11 of 21 face offs. Musa posted four multi-point
games, including a five-point weekend to open the season.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Justin Poirier - Maine
(Fr., F; Valleyfield, Que.)
Justin Poirier tied for the Hockey East lead in goals with seven
and was second in points (11) in the month of October while leading all of his first-year classmates in each category. He recorded
a hat trick in his first collegiate game and has scored a goal in
four of seven contests to date. He has two multi-goal games and
was second among league rookies with 24 shots on goal. He
carries a plus-four rating and three blocked shots.

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Cole Hutson - Boston University
(So., D; Chicago, Ill.)
Cole Hutson paced all NCAA blueliners with 10 points,
seven assists, 1.25 points per game, and 32 shots on
goal in eight games in October. He scored the game-winning goal in the season opener as part of a two-point
outing and followed up with three points in a 2-2 draw. He
blocked seven shots and added two assists in a 6-2 win
over RPI in exhibition play.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Lawton Zacher - Northeastern
(Jr., G; Buffalo, N.Y.)
Lawton Zacher lead the NCAA with a .952 save percentage in six
games in October, posting a 1.51 goals against average which
was good for second in the country. He backboned Northeastern
to four straight wins over nationally ranked programs and sits
at 5-1-0 on the year. His five wins are fifth in the country and no
goaltender in college hockey has more shutouts than his two
perfect games and he has allowed just one goal in his last three
starts.
