HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
Boston University toppled Ohio State, 8-3, and clipped Cornell, 3-2, in overtime to advance to the Terriers’ 29th Frozen Four and third consecutive trip. Quinn Hutson scored the overtime winner while Cole Hutson added six points in the two games to lift BU to St. Louis. Cole Hutson was named Most Outstanding Player of the region.
BU head coach Jay Pandolfo is now a combined 10-0 in NCAA regional games as a head coach and player for the Terriers, resulting in seven trips to the Frozen Four. He is one of three head coaches in NCAA history to have advanced to the Frozen Four in each of his first three seasons.
UConn’s Mike Cavanaugh and Pandolfo were named finalists for the Spencer Penrose Award as national coach of the year on Monday. Cavanaugh was nominated as Hockey East’s Coach of the Year while Pandolfo joins the fry for reaching the Frozen Four.
Hockey East was represented in each regional final, winning
one and falling short by a combined four goals including an
empty net score in the other three.
HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Quinn Hutson - Boston University
Quinn Hutson (Jr., F; North Barrington, Ill.) scored twice and added
an assist to help the Terriers return to the Frozen Four for the third
straight season. Hutson netted the overtime winner against Cornell in
the Toledo Regional final. His three points in the region put him at 50
on the season with 23 goals and 27 assists.

Cole Eiserman - Boston University
Cole Eiserman (Fr., F; Newburyport, Mass.) found the back of the net
twice in an 8-3 win over Ohio State in the Toledo Regional semifinals.

Cole Hutson - Boston University
Cole Hutson (Fr., D; North Barrington, Ill.) racked up six points on two
goals and four assists in the Toledo Regional and was named Most
Outstanding Player for his efforts.
STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Mikhail Yegorov - Boston University
Mikhail Yegorov (Fr., G; St. Petersburg, Russia) backboned the Terriers in to the Frozen Four by making 70 saves in the Toledo Regional,
including 37 in the final.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Teddy Stiga, BC (Fr., F; Sudbury, Mass.) Found the back of the net for the lone goal in BC’s setback to Denver, a 3-1 loss that included an empty net goal.
Ryan Leonard, BC (So., F; Amherst, Mass.) Had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Bentley, extending his season-best point streak to 17 games.
Jacob Fowler, BC (So., F; Melbourne, Fla.) Kicked out 42 saves and allowed just three goals in the Manchester Regional.
Callum Tung, UConn (Fr., G: Port Moody, B.C.) Started both games in the Allentown Regional, stopping 59 shots, including 38 in a 3-2 overtime setback in the final and allowed just three goals.
Joey Muldowney, UConn (So., F; Lake View, N.Y.) Potted a goal in each game of the Allentown Regional as UConn downed Quinnipiac, 4-1, before falling to Penn State in overtime.
Bodie Nobes, Maine (So., D; Kitchener, Ont.) Netted his first career goal, the lone goal in Maine’s 5-1 setback to Penn State.
Aydar Suniev, UMass (So., F; Kazan, Russia) Found the back of the net twice in Massachusetts’ 5-4 win over Minnesota, including the overtime strike to lift the Minutemen into the regional final in Fargo.
Michael Hrabal, UMass (So., F; Praha, Czechia) Stopped 53 shots in the Fargo Regional series.
Austen May, PC (Jr., D; Woodhaven, Mich.) Scored his first goal of the season, the lone Friars goal, in a 5-1 setback to Denver.
