HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Cam Lund - Northeastern
(Jr., F; Bridgewater, Mass.)

Cam Lund led the entire nation with nine points, 31 shots on net and two game-winning goals in just six games in December, powering Northeastern to a 3-3-0 record with multi-point outings in four of his six games. He tallied four goals, including two game-winning strikes, to go along with five assists. He had 24 faceoff wins and a plus-four rating.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Max Strand - Vermont
(Fr., F; Roseau, Minn.)

No rookie in the country had more points in December than Vermont’s Max Strand, who recorded a point in each of the Catamount’s six games. He racked up four goals and three assists to help Vermont end 2024 on a four-game winning streak. He also led all first-year players nationally with two power-play goals and his 31 faceoff wins were seventh among NCAA rookies and first among his classmates in Hockey East.

HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Vinny Borgesi - Northeastern
(Jr., D; Philadelphia, Pa.)

Vinny Borgesi’s eight points and six helpers in six games in December led all defenders in the nation and was second among all skaters. He also posted 10 faceoff wins, 17 shots on net, five blocks and a plus-four rating. He had two multi-point outings and a game-winning assist and was named Army ROTC Defender of the Week on Dec. 9.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Philip Svedeback - Providence
(Jr., G; Stockholm, Sweden)

No goaltender in the NCAA had more wins in December than Philip Svedeback, who posted a perfect 4-0-0 record for Providence in the final month of 2024, toppling three nationally ranked opponents in the process. He backboned the Friars to two wins over Colorado College to start the month before claiming the Ledyard Bank title at Dartmouth to end the year.
