The 2023-24 Hockey East season ended Saturday night in the national championship game as Boston College fell to Denver, 2-0. Will Smith was the lone Eagle named to the 2024 Frozen Four All-Tournament Team after scoring two goals in the semifinals.

Jacob Fowler made 56 saves on 58 shots in the Frozen Four, including a 32-save shutout in the semifinals to earn a 4-0 win over Michigan. He was named a First Team All-American and the runner-up for the Mike Richter Award on Friday.

Boston University fell, 2-1 in overtime, to eventual 2024 champion Denver in the Frozen Four semifinals.

For the first time in history, Hockey East claimed all six first team All-Americans in the East. The six skaters are identical to the league’s first team All-Star Team and include Boston University rookie forward Macklin Celebrini, two Boston College forwards, Cutter Gauthier and Will Smith. The team is rounded out by Eagles’ goaltender Jacob Fowler, and two defensemen in the Terriers’ Lane Hutson and Massachusetts junior captain Ryan Ufko. Additionally, Eagle freshmen Ryan Leonard and Gabe Perreault earned second team honors.

Celebrini was named the winner of the 2024 Hobey Baker Award, the 12th Hockey East skater to be so honored. He is just the fourth freshman and fourth Terrier to earn NCAA Division I Hockey’s highest individual honor. He also claimed the Tim Taylor National Rookie of the Year award.
