HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Josh Nadeau - Maine

Josh Nadeau was second among all NCAA skaters with 12 points and his 2.00 points per game in six December outings was the best of any player that skated in more than four contests. He also paced Hockey East with six goals and two power-play strikes two of which were game winners. He started the month with a pair of three-point games scoring a hat trick before recording three primary assists the next night. He ended the month on a 12-game point streak.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Bradly Nadeau - Maine
(Fr., F; St-François-de-Madawaska, N.B.)

Bradly Nadeau was second only to his brother Josh in December, putting up 11 points in just six games. He began the month with three primary assists to set up Josh’s first collegiate hat trick and followed up with a four-point night and a hat trick of his own the next time out. He recorded at least one point in five of his six appearances and paced the league with 23 shots on goal.

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Brandon Chabrier - Maine
(So., D; Bayville, N.Y.)

Chabrier was tops in the country among blueliners with eight assists in December and led Hockey East with a plus-10 rating. His 10 points and one power-play goal were also the best of all league defenders. He recorded at least one point in five of his six outings, helping Maine to a 6-0-0 mark in December and the top position in the Pairwise rankings. He had a four-point night (1g, 3a) on Dec. 3 against UConn. He added six blocked shots.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Gabe Carriere - Vermont
(Sr., G; Ottawa, Ont.)

Carriere led the entire NCAA with six wins in December, winning each of his last five starts while allowing just six goals against. He began the month by backboning the Catamounts in three straight one-goal games and has his team on its first five-game win streak since 2017. His 187 saves were tops in Hockey East and fifth most in the country. His .175 goals against average and .930 save percentage were both second in the league and best among all netminders who played more than three games.
