HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Ryan Tverberg - UConn
Junior Forward; Richmond Hills, Ont.

Ryan Tverberg played a vital role for the Huskies over the past month, helping UConn to the best start in program history at 7-1-1. The junior scored seven goals and added four assists for 11 points, including three power-play goals and one game-win- ning strike. He led Hockey East with 11 overall points and seven goals and recorded at least one point in all but one of UConn’s nine games.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Kenny Connors - Massachusetts
Forward; Glen Mills, Pa.

Kenny Connors led all first-year players in Hockey East with nine points and six assists. He led UMass in scoring in a 5-1-1 month with nine points over seven games on three goals and six assists, including two power-play goals, one shorthanded tally and one game winner and was plus-three. He also blocked seven shots and won 44 faceoffs.

HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Lane Hutson - Boston University
Freshman; Chicago, Ill.

Hutson is tied for the Hockey East lead for points by a defender with eight thanks to three goals and five assists. He is also tied for the league lead among defenders with 1.14 points per game. Hut- son most recently scored the final two goals of the game in a 2-1 OT win over No. 18 UMass Lowell. He has also blocked 11 shots, which is more than anyone defender with at least eight points.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Logan Terness - UConn
Sophomore; Burnaby, B.C.

Terness finished the month of October with a 4-0-1 record with only six goals allowed. The sophomore wrapped the month with a 1.18 goals against average and a .946 save percentage, good enough to sit second in the nation in both categories. He is one of three goalies in the nation with zero losses in more than four games played. He won all three Hockey East games he started and pitched a 43-save shutout against Ohio State.
