AMESBURY, Mass. - The Hockey East Association today announced its 2021-22 Men’s All-Star Teams as voted by the league’s 11 head coaches, as part of the celebration of the 37th Hockey East Men’s Tournament presented by Mortgage Network.
The lone unanimous selection as a 2021-22 Hockey East First Team All-Star is Massachusetts senior forward Bobby Trivigno (Setauket, N.Y.), who was recognized as the Hockey East Scoring Champion on Wednesday. The rest of the First Team is rounded out by goaltender Devon Levi (Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Que./Northeastern), defensemen Jordan Harris (Haverhill, Mass./Northeastern) and Scott Morrow (Darien, Conn./Massachusetts) and forwards Aidan McDonough (Milton, Mass./Northeastern) and Ryan Tverberg (Richmond Hill, Ont./UConn).
Comprising the All-Hockey East Second Team are goaltender Owen Savory (Cambridge, Ont./UMass Lowell), defensemen Declan Carlile (Hartland, Mich./Merrimack) and Domenick Fensore (Thornwood, N.Y./Boston University), and forwards Jachym Kondelik (Budějovice, Czech Republic/UConn), Jack McBain (Toronto, Ont./Boston College), and Wilmer Skoog (Tyresö, Sweden/Boston University).
Recognized as All-Hockey East Third Team are Matt Murray (St. Albert, Alta./Massachusetts), defensemen Max Crozier (Calgary, Alta./Providence), Matthew Kessel (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Massachusetts), and Jack St. Ivany (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Boston College) and forwards Brett Berard (East Greenwich, R.I./Providence), Carl Berglund (Hammarö, Sweden/UMass Lowell), and Andre Lee (Karlstad, Sweden/UMass Lowell).
Receiving recognition as All-Star Honorable Mention are goaltender Darion Hanson (East Bethel, Minn./UConn), defensemen Ryan Ufko (Long Island, N.Y./Massachusetts) and Alex Vlasic (Wilmette, Ill./Boston University) and forwards Marc McLaughlin (North Billerica, Mass./Boston College) and Max Newton (Vancouver, B.C./Merrimack).
The league will announce finalists for the Player, Rookie, and Coach of the Year awards on Monday, March 14.
The 2022 Hockey East Men’s Tournament continues with Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 12 on the campus of the highest seeds - Northeastern, Massachusetts, UMass Lowell, and UConn - as part of this year’s single-elimination affair. The Hockey East semifinals are set tentatively set for 4:00pm and 7:30pm on Friday, March 18 at TD Garden in Boston, while the 37th championship game will be played Saturday, March 19 at 7:00pm.
