Babson Alumna will Join League Office In Communications Role

AMESBURY, Mass. - The Hockey East Association announced today that Kylie McCarthy will join the league office as the 2025-26 graduate intern.

McCarthy recently graduated from Babson College with a degree in Business, concentrating in Sports Management. A Boston sports fan born and raised, she grew up immersed in the region’s athletic culture and has built her career around a passion for sports media and storytelling.

While at Babson, she was a member of the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse program and was the creator and host of Babson 15, a podcast spotlighting athletes, coaches, and staff across Babson Athletics, both on and off the field. In that role, she oversaw guest outreach, interviews, content production, and social media management. McCarthy also gained experience as a Communications and Media Intern with the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference, a Marketing Intern with Teamwork Online, and with Sports Girls Club, where she created content and supported event coverage for the PWHL and the Women Changing the Game podcast.

Her professional background spans digital content, storytelling, brand partnerships, and client relations, with additional experience at PepsiCo – Frito Lay and Top Lax Recruits. She also demonstrated leadership on campus, teaching a student-designed seminar and helping to establish Babson’s Sports Business concentration.

McCarthy is excited to bring her creativity, enthusiasm, and lifelong love of Boston sports to her role with Hockey East.
