Four players share Player of the Month honors for January, with three on the men’s side and a lone standout for the women. Six others grabbed Rookie and Goalie honors in a month of eye-popping performances across the country.

Men’s Co-Player of the Month: Mac Gadowsky, SO D, Army West Point (State College, PA)

Led all NCAA blueliners with 8-8-16 in a month in which the Cadets went 6-1 in Atlantic Hockey play.

Men’s Co-Player of the Month: Ryan Kirwan, SR F, Arizona State (DeWitt, NY)

Kirwan went 11-6-17 in nine games and added a +9 to his stat line as ASU rose in the national rankings.

Men’s Co-Player of the Month: Jimmy Snuggerud, JR F, Minnesota (Chaska, MN)

Went 11-6-17, becoming the third player in team history to begin a career with three straight 20-goal seasons.

Women’s Player of the Month: Abbey Murphy SR F, Minnesota (Evergreen Park, IL)

Murphy had 18 points (8-10-18) in leading the Gophers to a 9-1-0 record. She is third in NCAA this year with 1.72 PPG.

Men’s Rookie of the Month: Ryan Manzella, FR G, Michigan Tech (Eagan, MN)

Was 5-0-0 in six games played, putting up 1.23 GAA and a .950 save percentage. Had three shutouts in five starts.

Women’s Rookie of the Month: Lisa Jönsson, FR G, Northeastern (Stockholm, Sweden)

Another strong month for Jönsson as she went 7-2-0 with a GAA of 1.23, a save percentage of .949 and three shutouts.

Men’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Josh Kotai, SO G, Augustana (Abbotsford, BC)

A main reason Augustana moved up in the rankings in January, Kotai went 5-0-2 with a 1.39 GAA and a .958 save percentage.

Men’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Tyler Muszelik, JR G, UConn (Long Valley, NJ)

Muszelik posted numbers of 1.38 and .951 in an undefeated January (4-0-1), including wins vs Maine, UNH and Quinnipiac.

Women’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Katie DeSa, JR G, Penn State (Pawcatuck, CT)

Had a phenomenal month: .957 percentage, 1.00 GAA and a 9-0-0 record (including a win at #3 Minnesota).

Women’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Annelies Bergmann, SO G, Cornell (Detroit, MI)

Playing ranked opponents in seven of 10 games, she went 7-1-2, .946, 1.23, with two shutouts (vs. Clarkson and SLU).
