Record Hockey East Represented at Olympic Winter Games
Forty-Three With League Ties Vying For Olympic Glory

AMESBURY, Mass. - The Hockey East Association will be represented by a record 43 men and women, including 38 players and five coaches, in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, set to take place Feb. 2-20 in Beijing, China. The Olympians represent 10 different league institutions and nine different countries. A full list of players and coaches, including 27 women’s players and two coaches, and 11 men’s players and three coaches, can be found below.

Boston College, Maine, and Northeastern lead the way with six Olympians each, while Boston University and Vermont claim five, UConn sends three, Merrimack, New Hampshire and Providence all boast two, and UMass Lowell sends a lone Olympic alumnus.

Team USA will have the most Hockey East representation with 10 players and four coaches, followed by nine with Czecha, five players and one coach with Team Canada, five players on China, four on Denmark, two each on Sweden and Switzerland, and a lone player from each of Finland and Slovakia.

The Olympic hockey competition begins Feb. 2 at 11:10pm EST when the women’s teams from China and Czechia and Canada and Switzerland face off. The men’s competition begins Feb. 9. NBC is the television home of the Olympic hockey competition and will air the women’s gold medal game live at 11:10pm EST on Feb. 16 and the men’s championship game on Feb. 19 at the same start time.
