HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Julia Pellerin - Boston College
(So., F; Windham, N.H.)

In nine games played, Julia Pellerin paced Hockey East with 12 points on seven goals and five assists and scored in all but one game. Pellerin recorded the first hat trick of her career against Maine as part of a five-point night on Jan. 7. She picked up at least one point in every league game and is averaging 1.33 points per game with 5.33 shots per game. She ended January on a five-game point streak.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Lisa Jönsson - Northeastern
(Fr., F; Stockholm, Sweden)

Lisa Jönsson posted three shutouts in nine starts in January, pacing Northeastern to a 7-2-0 mark and their 20th Beanpot crown in program history. Her 30-save shutout in the title game earned her tournament MVP and Bertagna Award honors as top goaltender. Her three shutouts led the NCAA. She currently leads the nation in goals against average (1.23) and is second in shutouts (7) and save percentage (.953).

ARMY ROTC DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Tory Mariano - Northeastern
(Sr., D; Buffalo, N.Y.)

Tory Mariano tallied two goals, seven assists and nine points in the month of January, helping the Huskies to seven victories. Mariano also tallied 23 blocks to lead all Huskies during the month. Four of her points came on the power-play and she posted two game-winning goals against then-No. 12 Boston College in the Beanpot semifinals and Merrimack. She had four points during the Huskies run to a record 20th Beanpot title.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Hope Walinski - Providence
(Sr., G; Lincoln, R.I.)

Hope Walinski picked up eight wins in January, the sec- ond most in the NCAA, while leading Providence to an 8-1-0 record and rocketing up the Hockey East standings. She allowed two or fewer goals in seven of her eight starts and earned a 21-save shutout in a 1-0 win on Jan. 11. She posted a 1.43 goals against average and .941 save percentage.
