HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
Boston College swept previously undefeated #3 Clarkson, 3-1 and 4-3, over the weekend at Conte Forum. Grace Campbell backboned the Eagles, stopping 67 shots in 119:45 of work, including a season-high 41 saves on 44 shots on Sunday. It was her fourth career game with 40+ saves.
Providence took down #14 Northeastern, 2-1, in a single-game series on Friday. Sarah Davies potted the game-winning goal with 4:48 remaining and Hope Walinski made 26 saves on 27 shots. The one goal she allowed came while the Huskies were on a power-play.
Merrimack swept Lindenwood in non-conference action, thanks in part to five points (2g, 3a) from sophomore Maria Lindberg. The Warriors moved to 4-3-0 on the year and 2-1-0 in out of Hokey East play.
Boston University swept a two-game road series at Syracuse, powered by rookie Lola Reid’s continued hot start. Reid scored three goals, including both game-winning strikes for the Terriers. She is currently riding a five-game point streak.
Vermont earned four points in Hockey East play at New Hampshire,
taking a 4-3 win on Friday before dropping a 3-2 overtime loss in
Saturday’s NESN game. Evelyne Blais-Savoie scored two goals for
the Catamounts, adding to her team-high four goals on the season.
Chavonne Truter recorded two goals and an assist for a total of three
points for the Wildcats in UNH’s two-game series against Vermont.

Maria Lindberg - Merrimack
Maria Lindberg (So., F; Jonstorp, Sweden) racked up five points (2g, 3a)
in a weekend sweep of Lindenwood, including the primary assist on the
game-winning goal in Saturday’s 4-1 victory.
PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Lola Reid - Boston University
Lola Reid (Fr., F; Lincoln, Neb.) scored three goals, including both game-winning strikes, in two-game sweep of Syracuse. Her weekend also saw her first
career multi-goal game in Friday’s 4-1 victory with two strikes. She finished
the weekend with three goals, a plus-three rating and leads Hockey East in
points with 11 while riding a five-game point streak.
HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Molly Jordan - Boston College
Molly Jordan (So., D; Berlin, Conn.) scored a goal and added two assists,
including setting up the game-winning, power-play goal in Saturday’s 3-1
win, in a sweep of #3 Clarkson. In Saturday’s 4-3 win, she knotted the game
at one in the first period before having the lone assist on a goal in the third
period that started a three-goal comeback for the Eagles. She set up Katie Pyne’s tally just 30 seconds after Clarkson took a 3-1 lead with a power-play
goal and that kick started the Eagles’ run to a 4-3 win with three unanswered
goals.
STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Grace Campbell - Boston College
Grace Campbell, BC (Jr., G; Kensington, Md.) backboned the Eagles to a
sweep of #3 Clarkson in a set of home games, stopping 67 shots and allowing four goals in 119:45 of work. She made 12 stops on 13 shots in the first
period, the lone goal coming with 40 seconds remaining in the period, before
denying the next 14 shots she saw from the Golden Knights to lock down a
3-1 win for the Eagles on Saturday. The next day, she made a season-high
41 saves on 44 shots to earn a 4-3 win, making 14 saves in the first, 15 in the
second, and 12 in the third. It was her fourth career game with 40+ saves.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Gaby Roy, BC (Gr., F; Marshfield, Mass.) Found the back of the net in each game of a weekend sweep of #3 Clarkson, extending her goal streak to four games (4g, 1a).
Julia Pellerin, BC (So., F; Windham, N.H.) Netted the game-winning, unassisted goal with 2:25 remaining in the game in Sunday’s 4-3 win over #3 Clarkson, giving the Eagles a weekend sweep of the Golden Knights. She also netted an unas- sisted tally in Saturday’s 3-1 win to open the scoring at 10:52 of the first period.
Christina Vote, BU (Sr., F; Arlington, Mass.) Picked up three assists in two-game sweep of Syracuse, pushing the Terriers win streak to five games. She also won three faceoffs and was a plus-two on the weekend. The senior is tied for the lead in assists on the BU squad with five and tied fifth in Hockey East.
Maeve Kelly, BU (Jr., D; Victoria, Minn.) Netted her first collegiate goal in a 4-1 win over Syracuse on Friday. She had two blocks throughout the weekend.
Callie Shanahan, BU (Sr., G; Commerce, Mich.) Picked up a win at Syracuse in Friday’s 4-1 victory, making 28 saves in 60 minutes of work. It is her fourth win of the season and she currently leads Hockey East with a 1.06 GAA and a .960 SV%
Stephanie Jacob, Maine (Fr., F; Winnipeg, Man.) Registered two points against a #6 Colgate on one goal and one assist while firing nine shots on net. She currently leads Maine with four points (2g, 2a) in eight games played.
Margaux Favre, MC (Fr., G; Fribroug, Switzerland) Made a career high 39 saves in a 4-1 win over Lindenwood on Saturday.
Hayley Chang, MC (Sr., D; Coquitlam, B.C.) Scored in both games against Lindenwood, including netting the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 4-1 win.
Chavonne Truter, UNH (Gr., F; Uxbridge, Ont.) Recorded two goals and an assist for a total of three points in UNH’s two-game series against Vermont. Truter scored the first goal in both games, won 29 of 41 faceoffs (70.7%), and had a plus-one rating. She also recorded an assist on Saturday’s overtime game-winner.
Tuva Kandell, NU (Fr., D; Leksand, Sweden) Scored her first career goal at Providence. Kandell’s goal was on the power-play and tied the game for the Huskies.
Sarah Davies, PC (Jr., F; Mississauga, Ont.) Potted the game-winning goal over #14 Northeastern in Friday’s 2-1 win with 4:48 remaining in the game. She won 10 of 20 faceoffs she took.
Hope Walinski, PC (Sr., F; Lincoln, R.I.) Made 26 saves on 27 shots against #14 Northeastern, securing a 2-1 win for the Friars. The one goal she allowed came while the Huskies were on a power-play.
Evelyne Blais-Savoie, UVM (Sr., F; San Jose, Calif.) Scored two goals during a four-point Hockey East weekend set at UNH, adding to her team-high four goals on the season. She played critical role in helping Vermont defeated UNH, 4-3, on Friday, and earn another conference point the next day after a 3-2 overtime setback. It is the third time in her career scoring in back-to-back games.
Josie Hemp, UVM (R-Fr., D; Chanhassen, Minn.) Dished out an assist in each game of a 1-1-0 weekend at New Hampshire, helping the Cats to four points in league play. She added three shots on net and blocked three shots.
Ashley Kokavec, UVM (So., D; Parkland, Fla.) Notched three points in two games at New Hampshire on one goal and two assists. In Friday’s 4-3 win, she scored her first goal as a Catamount and added an set up the eventual game-winning goal in Vermont’s 4-3 win. She dished out another helper in Saturday’s 3-2 overtime netback and added four shots on net.
Jane Gervais, UVM (Sr., G; Valcourt, Que.) Stopped a total of 46 shots in a 1-1-0 weekend at New Hampshire, helping Vermont to four conference points on the weekend.
