CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 13 Boston College Eagles shut out the University of New Hampshire Wildcats in the final regular season at Kelley Rink.
The first period was back and forth battle with neither side finding the back of the net. BC had 10 shots on goal through the first 20 minutes, while UNH had nine.
Julia Pellerin broke the tie at 7:52 in the second period. Pellerin's goal came from a UNH turnover caused by Keri Clougherty who dished it to Sammy Taber and Taber sent it to Pellerin. BC went into the final frame with the
In the final frame, Gaby Roy broke up a New Hampshire offensive play and got a shot on goal off. Alanna Devlin got the rebound of Roy's shot, where she got BC's second goal of the night.
The Eagles were able to hold off the Wildcat for a 2-0 victory. Grace Campbell earned her fifth shutout of the season.
After tonight's win Boston College clinched third place in the Hockey East playoff and will face off against Maine at Kelley Rink on Saturday, March 1st.
