NO. ANDOVER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team hit the road to take on Merrimack for the regular season series finale on Saturday, Jan. 18. For the second night in a row the two teams tied 1-1 and the Crusaders took home the shootout win 2-1 for a four-points on the weekend.

Holy Cross: Abby Hornung (T, 4-10-2), 25 saves
Merrimack: Calli Hogarth (T, 2-10-3), 25 saves
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first period, the Warriors struck first with a goal by Michaela Littlewod at 2:01 for the early advantage. At 6:33, freshman forward Amanda Aslan set up junior defender Taylor Cantelon for the power-play one-time at the point to tie the game 1-1. With just 20 seconds left in the period, freshman defender Hannah Deck whipped a shot from the point to steal the lead and end the opening frame. Junior assistant captian Alexia Moreau was credited with the assist.
- In the second period, Merrimack's Rachel Bjorgan converted on the power-play at 11:34 for the 2-2 result.
- Neither team scored in the third period or overtime to end the game in a 2-2 tie.
- The Crusaders won the shootout 2-1 with Moreau and Deck scoring and Hornung making six saves on seven attempts to take home the extra point in Hockey East standings.
- Each team had 27 shots on goal while Merrimack led Holy Cross 36-29 in face-offs to conclude the game.
