LOWELL, Mass. - The #7 University of Maine men's ice hockey team completed a road sweep over #8 UMass Lowell with a 2-1 win on Saturday night at the Tsongas Center.
Maine jumped out to a 2-0 lead just nine minutes into the opening stanza. Nolan Renwick's sixth of the year off of a feed from Taylor Makar made it 1-0 just 1:54 into the contest. Thomas Freel's power-play tally then came seven minutes later.
The River Hawks would fight back, putting an even-strength goal home in the second period, but Maine held on for the 2-1 win.

- Maine had the 36-26 lead in shots on goal.
- The Black Bears went 1-for-4 on the power play while keeping UMass Lowell to 0-for-3.
- Albin Boija made 25 saves in moving to 14-4-2 on the year ... the sophomore made 15 saves in the third period.
- The Black Bears are now 86-49-6 in the all-time series with the River Hawks including a mark of 35-15-8 on the road.
