- The first period ended scoreless, with Providence edging Merrimack in shots on goal, 6-5.

- Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) opened the scoring for the Friars at 9:30 in the second period, capitalizing on a rebound. The assists came from Lily Hendrikson (Edina, Minn.) and Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario). This marked Knapp's 10th goal of the season, making her the first Friar to reach double digits this year, and extended her point streak to five games -Sarah Davies (Mississauga, Ontario) set up the second goal at 3:18 in the second period, winning a faceoff that led to a deflected shot by Mégane Quirion (Saint-Eustache, Quebec), doubling the Friars' lead to 2-0. It was Quirion's second goal of the season and Hendrikson's fourth career multi-point game.

- Maggie Kime cut the deficit to 2-1 at 7:57 in the third period with assists from Rachel Bjorgan and Emma Pfeffer.

- Millie Sirum (Oslo, Norway) restored Providence's two-goal lead, scoring her second tally of the weekend, which was assisted by Hannah Clarke (Richmond Hill, Ontario) and Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.).

- Hannah Johnson (Readfield, Maine) sealed the 4-1 victory with an empty-net goal during a penalty kill, with Clark adding her second assist of the game. That is Clark's seventh career multi-point game and second of the season.

- Walinski made 15 saves for the Friars.

- This is the first six-point weekend for the Friars in Hockey East this season.

- Providence improved to 25-2-2 in the all-time series against the Warriors
