HANOVER, N.H. -- The No. 7 Providence College men's hockey team rallied from a first period deficit to secure a 5-3 victory over No. 17/16 Dartmouth to claim the 35th Annual Ledyard Classic at Thompson Arena in Hanover, N.H. With the win, the Friars extended their winning streak to seven games.

NOTES

- Hank Cleaves got the hosts on the board first at 4:45 of the first period.

- The Friars responded less than three minutes later on Alexander Bales' first NCAA goal and point, one-timing a pass from Tanner Adams off the post and in. John Mustard earned an assist to extend his point streak to seven games.

- With the Big Green on a power play, Graham Gamache forced a turnover and beat Clarke from the high slot for his fifth goal of the year and third in as many games. It marked the Friars' second shorthanded marker of the season.

- Dartmouth responded with a pair of goals by Cleaves and Alex Krause to go ahead 3-2 after 20 minutes.

- Providence responded with a strong middle stanza, outshooting the Big Green by a 16-2 margin.

- Nick Poisson tied the game at 8:24 off a highlight-reel pass from Will Elger.

- Logan Will gave the Friars a 4-3 lead at 16:39 with his sixth goal of the year. Ryan O'Reilly and Taige Harding earned assists on the play.

- The teams battled through a mostly scoreless final period as the Friars clamped down defensively, only surrendering seven shots over the final 40 minutes of the game.

- Chase Yoder gave the Friars insurance with an empty-net goal with 1:50 remaining in regulation to seal the win.

- Providence extended its winning streak to seven games and has captured the Ledyard Classic title in each of their last three appearances in the tournament (2019, 2022, 2024).

- Gamache was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while Will was named to the All-Tournament Team.

- The Friars improved to 9-1-0 in non-conference games and 8-1-1 away from Schneider Arena this season.
