PORTLAND, Maine - The #4 University of Maine men's ice hockey team fell to Bentley, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.
It was Maine's first non-conference loss of the season and snaps a seven-game unbeaten streak.
The Falcons took a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest and then made it 2-0 early in the second period with a power-play goal. Harrison Scott got Maine on the board with a power-play goal of his own midway through the second before Sam Duerr restored the two-goal lead late in the frame.
Scott would score a short-handed goal to pull Maine within one in the third period but the Falcons iced the game with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
