ORONO, Maine - Five different Black Bears scored as the #5 University of Maine men's ice hockey team earned a 5-2 win over Stonehill on Saturday at Alfond Arena.
Maine took a 2-0 lead just 10 minutes into the first period off of a goal from Taylor Makar and a Harrison Scott power-play strike. The Skyhawks responded in the second period to tie the game up, 2-2, with an even-strength goal and a power-play goal.
The Black Bears responded and came out and scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the third period. Grayson Arnott and Nicholas Niemo scored their first goals of the season and then Josh Nadeau's power-play goal cemented the game midway through.
