BOSTON, Mass. - The Northeastern men's hockey team broke the Bentley Falcons four-game win streak with a 3-1 victory at Matthews Arena on Sunday afternoon.

- For the second-straight game, the Huskies opened scoring for an early 1-0 lead. Just 2:16 into the game, senior Cristophe Tellier snuck out in front of the Falcons defense for a drop back pass to junior Jack Williams in the slot for his second goal in as many games. Graduate student Jake Boltmann picked up the secondary helper.

- Just before the midway point of the first period, Bentley would tie the game, 1-1.

- Before the opening frame would conclude, NU would take back a goal advantage. Intercepting a pass by the Falcons, junior Cam Lund connected with junior Anthony Messuri in the left dot. Messuri, with quick hands, feed the puck in front of the crease to sophomore Dylan Hryckowian for his sixth goal of the season. With the assist, Messuri tallied his first collegiate point.

- Despite a scoreless second period, Northeastern would tally the final goal of the contest with under two minutes to play in third frame. Following a deflection off the pad of netminder Cameron Whitehead, junior Vinny Borgesi passed the puck up ice for Lund who sealed the 3-1 win. The secondary assist for Whitehead marked his first collegiate point.

- Additionally, Whitehead finished the game with 34 saves, his seventh game this season with over 30 saves.

- Williams led both teams with 14 faceoff wins, while he tied with juniors Joaquim Lemay and Jackson Dorrington with a team-high three blocks.

The Huskies are back home next weekend with a Friday matchup with Hockey East opponent New Hampshire, followed by a Saturday contest with Brown.
